The course Statistics I will introduce important concepts in lectures and through class discussions. Demonstration of applied problems as well as applied assignments will be used to illustrate and deepen your understanding of concepts.

Course Learning Objectives:
This course covers descriptive statistics, the basics of probability and of inferential statistics. Topics covered include frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion, the normal curve, hypothesis testing; correlation and regression, and t-tests. The course will introduce concepts relevant to research design in psychology, and emphasize understanding and evaluating results in the context of psychological research.
