This course focuses on the nature of light, the eye and the visual nervous system. Early vision (encoding light and pattern) and higher order vision (encoding surfaces and objects) are covered. Neurobiological mechanisms are underlined. The auditory system is also covered. Prerequisite: GL/PSYC 2510 6.00. Course credit exclusions: HH/PSYC 3270 3.00, HH/PSYC 2220 3.00.
