The objective are multifold, interconnected and co-dependent:
To understand feminist spirituality; the diversity of the conceptual and pragmatic representations of “woman” and “goddess”; as well as other feminine forms in religious and spiritual movements, beyond sexuality.
To distinguish between Judeo-Christian and Eastern approaches to the feminine.
To know the main issues, gains and struggles faced by women in religious traditions, notably the Missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada.
To learn micro and macro sociological tools for the study of women in religion.
